It is clear from our conversations that we all agree that the map needs to be meaningful. We need to ask ourselves:
What is the purpose of using a map?
How will we use the map?
What kind of information do we intend to convey?
To who?

I had to fix all my misspells and bad punctuation!
To present to policy makers, including my own nursing managers for making decisions related to service delivery.
To present to community members as a means to engage them in health improvement projects and as a way to educate them about their own health as a community and the things that may impact that.
To explore associations between different datasets, looking for novel ideas that may solve practice conumdrums or persistent health problems or may at least give me new avenues to pursue.
Depends on the situation - the maps should respond to issues and audiences at hand.
